The Birthday Invitations
The RSVP List
When writing out the invitations,
remember to ask each person to
RSVP if they will be coming to
the party. This will help you
in deciding how much food and
party favors need to be made available.
A few days before the party, call
each person whom did not RSVP
in order to make sure of whether
they are coming to the birthday
party or not. A lot of people
simply tend to forget to call
but still plan on arriving.
Keep your Party’s RSVP
list next to the phone at all
time. It’s best to have
a full list of people whom you
have invited so that you can simply
make a check next to the ones
who call. This will allow you
to save time instead of having
to write down everyone’s
names individually as they call
in.
The Guest Book
As guests arrive at the birthday
party, ask them to sign a guest
book. By doing this, you are know
exactly who was there and who
wasn’t so that you can later
send out thank you letters to
those whom arrived. Try to maintain
a list (or mental note) of the
gifts that each person brought
to the birthday party so that
you can better personalize each
thank you letter.
Remember The Theme
Be sure to include in the invitation
of what the Birthday party theme
will be. In some cases you may
want people to dress according
to that theme. For example, if
your theme is a Harry Potter one,
perhaps you can ask your guests
to dress up like their favorite
Harry Potter character. If you
choose, you can simply have props
available for when they arrive
instead. For example, you can
hand out witches hats, wands or
capes to the guests as they arrive.
